WhatHouse? Awards win for Athena

Posted on 18th November 2019

The Oscars of the housebuilding industry, the WhatHouse? Awards, took place on Friday 15th November at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London and we are delighted to tell you that Athena was successful in three categories, winning Gold for Best Sustainable Development, Silver for Best Development and Silver for Best House for The Avenue.

Judges commended Athena for being “a sharp and innovative scheme and a remarkable achievement of consistent quality” and commented that “Hill should be commended for creating interesting, adaptable and light-filled homes”.

The awards were hosted by astronaut Major Tim Peake alongside comedian, television presenter and self-confessed space geek Dara O’Briain.

Hill was also awarded Silver for Best Medium Housebuilder, which is brilliant achievement in an incredibly competitive category and we are thrilled we can add this accolade to our list of achievements. We were commended by the WhatHouse? Awards judges for our work with innovative designs, quality of construction, innovative investment partnership projects and investment in staff.

The Avenue, our stunning four bedroom homes lining Eddington Avenue at the Huntingdon Road entrance to Eddington, are designed by renowned architects Pollard Thomas Edwards. Designed to offer flexible living for modern living, The Avenue are imposing homes with large windows, striking metal cladding and an intriguing section of laser-cut metalwork to the façade.
