At Athena, we believe that housing is not just about creating convenient, contemporary and flexible living spaces. Homes should also have a responsibility to its local environment, and benefit the people both today and well into the future.
That’s why at every stage of their concept, design and construction, Athena and its surrounding community of Eddington in Cambridge, have embraced an ethos of simple and smart sustainability for a new level of sustainable living.
As such, our new homes in Cambridge feature water and energy-efficient kitchen and bathroom appliances, such as aerated showerheads and taps, and A-rated kitchen appliances, to keep electricity and water consumption low. But our commitment to sustainability goes much further.
Here are five key features that show how sustainable living is seamlessly integrate into Athena and Eddington’s for lighter living with reduced environmental impact. (more…)

We are delighted to announce that Athena was successful at last Friday's Evening Standard New Home Awards, winning the Eco Living award.
The Evening Standards Awards celebrate and commend innovation and excellence in today's new homes. Judging is independent, decided by a panel of property experts and Evening Standard readers. Across the categories, the awards embrace the spectrum, from first-time buyer flats to luxurious mansions; from city centre high-rise towers to barn conversions, and from boutique apartment projects to large-scale regeneration schemes.
In choosing award winners, judges look for homes and developments that reflect, or exceed, current best practice in the housebuilding market.

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the coveted and respected five star status from the Home Builders Federation (HBF) in their annual customer satisfaction survey, reinforcing our commitment to providing the best customer service possible. The independent survey is undertaken by the HBF annually, and is seen as an industry benchmark for customer service. The HBF is the representative body of the home building industry in England and Wales, and introduced the survey in 2005 to improve standards within the industry.
The 5 star rating is reserved for companies where over 90% of customers would recommend them to a friend, and we are thrilled to have achieved this accolade.
Andy Hill, Chief Executive at Hill, commented:
“We are extremely proud of this achievement, which recognised our continued commitment to build high quality, distinctive homes whilst also providing excellent service to our customers. There has been a huge focus on issues around customer service in the wider sector over the past year, so to receive this coveted achievement shows that the processes and procedures we have in place are meeting and exceeding our customer’s expectations and demonstrates their trust in our product.”
The 5 star rating is set to kick-start an exciting year for us – in addition to working across Cambridge, Oxford and London on flagship developments including Athena, Mosaics and Fish Island Village, we also have a pipeline of 3,300 homes across London and the South East of England
